Short: Free keyfiles for E!-Pager and Offline Orbit Author: siren@mikrobitti.fi (Janne Siren) Uploader: siren mikrobitti fi (Janne Siren) Type: comm/misc Architecture: m68k-amigaos May 23, 1999 E!-Pager is a sysop pager and a split-screen chat for EXCELSIOR! BBS and Offline Orbit is a multi-format offline message reader. Since the latest E!-Pager update was released almost six years ago and the last registration was received over two years ago, and the latest Offline Orbit update was released over two years ago and the last registration was received almost a year ago, I have decided to release free keyfiles for both programs as a small gift to the Amiga community. This archive may be freely distributed as long as it remains unmodified. You may use E!-Pager 1.27 and Offline Orbit 0.82 and older versions with the provided keyfiles free of charge as long as you wish. No more registrations for the versions mentioned above will be accepted. No warranties are given and all use is at your own risk. Other disclaimers and copyrights, as described in the E!-Pager and Offline Orbit online documentation, still apply. Please note, that the Pager.key should be copied to BBS:Data and OO.key to S:. See Aminet for the latest versions of E!-Pager and Offline Orbit: comm/bbs/pager127.lha comm/mail/oo082.lha As it is very unlikely that further upgrades will be made available to either one of these programs, I wish to use this opportunity to thank the people who have registered these programs. I hope my products have rewarded your support and continue to do so in the future as well. The main reasons for not further updating these programs have been personal priorities and the obvious impact the Internet has had on the BBS culture. Thank you for your support and understanding. I would also like to mention the fact, that unfortunately the number of registrations was quite low and in addition to frequently used unregistered copies, several pirated copies were also seen. If you find these gift keyfiles useful, please consider registering some other shareware programs you may use. I am sure your support will be appreciated by the authors. Please feel free to e-mail me your comments and questions to the address mentioned below. Please do not use any of the other addresses listed in the E!-Pager and Offline Orbit online documentation, as most of them are no longer valid. Yours Sincerely, Janne Sirén (siren@mikrobitti.fi) Author of E!-Pager and Offline Orbit PS. There is a small, harmless easter egg hidden in the Offline Orbit (versions 0.80 and later). This easter egg was inspired by a film called The Net. This was also hinted in the FAQ of the online documentation. When holding down both Shift keys in the Puzzle and clicking on the Puzzle window, a small pi symbol appears in the lower right corner of the screen. Clicking this symbol while holding down the Ctrl and the left Shift keys reveals a hidden message.
